On this page we provide you with our privacy policy in accordance with the GDPR.

Personal data (hereinafter referred to mostly as “data”) is processed by us only to the extent necessary and for the purpose of providing a functional and user-friendly website, including its contents and the services offered there.

Pursuant to Art. 4 No. 1 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, i.e. the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to only as “GDPR”), “processing” means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

With the following privacy policy, we inform you in particular about the nature, scope, purpose, duration and legal basis of the processing of personal data, insofar as we decide either alone or jointly with others about the purposes and means of processing. We also inform you below about the third-party components we use for optimisation purposes and to improve the quality of use, insofar as third parties process data on their own responsibility.

Our privacy policy is structured as follows:

I. Information about us as the controller
II. Rights of users and data subjects
III. Information on data processing

II. Rights of users and data subjects

With regard to the data processing described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right

  • to confirmation as to whether data concerning them is being processed, to information about the data being processed, to further information about the data processing and to copies of the data (see also Art. 15 GDPR);
  • to rectification or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data (see also Art. 16 GDPR);
  • to immediate erasure of the data concerning them (see also Art. 17 GDPR), or, alternatively, where further processing is required pursuant to Art. 17 para. 3 GDPR, to restriction of processing in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR;
  • to receive the data concerning them and provided by them, and to transmit this data to other providers/controllers (see also Art. 20 GDPR);
  • to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority if they are of the opinion that the data concerning them is being processed by the provider in violation of data protection regulations (see also Art. 77 GDPR).

Furthermore, the provider is obliged to inform all recipients to whom data has been disclosed by the provider of any rectification or erasure of data or restriction of processing carried out pursuant to Articles 16, 17 para. 1 and 18 GDPR. This obligation does not apply, however, where such notification is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. Notwithstanding this, the user has the right to information about these recipients.

Users and data subjects also have the right pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR to object to the future processing of data concerning them, provided that the data is processed by the provider in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. In particular, an objection to the processing of data for the purpose of direct marketing is permissible.

III. Information on data processing

Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies, the deletion of the data is not precluded by any statutory retention obligations, and no other information to the contrary is provided below regarding individual processing procedures.

Server data

For technical reasons, in particular to ensure a secure and stable website, data is transmitted by your internet browser to us or to our web hosting provider. With these so-called server log files, the type and version of your internet browser, the operating system, the website from which you accessed our website (referrer URL), the website(s) of our website that you visit, the date and time of the respective access, and the IP address of the internet connection from which our website is used are collected, among other things.

The data collected in this way is temporarily stored, but not together with other data about you.

This storage is based on the legal basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the improvement, stability, functionality and security of our website.

The data is deleted after seven days at the latest, unless further retention is required for evidentiary purposes. In that case, the data is wholly or partially exempt from deletion until the final clarification of an incident.

Cookies

a) Session cookies

We use so-called cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies that are placed and stored on your device by the internet browser you use. Through these cookies, certain information about you, such as your browser or location data or your IP address, is processed to an individual extent.

This processing makes our website more user-friendly, effective and secure, as the processing enables, for example, the display of our website in different languages or the provision of a shopping basket function.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR, insofar as these cookies process data for the initiation or performance of a contract.

If the processing does not serve the initiation or performance of a contract, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our website. The legal basis is then Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR.

These session cookies are deleted when you close your internet browser.

b) Third-party cookies

Where applicable, cookies from partner companies with whom we cooperate for the purposes of advertising, analysis or the functionality of our website may also be used on our website.

For details, in particular regarding the purposes and legal bases for the processing of such third-party cookies, please refer to the information below.

c) Removal option

You can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies by adjusting your internet browser settings. You can also delete cookies that have already been stored at any time. The steps and measures required for this depend on the specific internet browser you are using. If you have any questions, please use the help function or documentation of your internet browser or contact its manufacturer or support. In the case of so-called Flash cookies, however, processing cannot be prevented via the browser settings. Instead, you will need to change the settings of your Flash player. The steps and measures required for this also depend on the specific Flash player you are using. If you have any questions, please use the help function or documentation of your Flash player or contact the manufacturer or user support.

Please note that preventing or restricting the installation of cookies may result in not all functions of our website being fully available.

Newsletter

If you sign up for our free newsletter, the data requested from you for this purpose – namely your email address and, optionally, your name and address – will be transmitted to us. At the same time, we store the IP address of the internet connection from which you access our website, as well as the date and time of your registration. As part of the further registration process, we will obtain your consent to receive the newsletter, describe its content in specific terms and refer you to this privacy policy. The data collected in this way is used exclusively for sending the newsletter – it is therefore not passed on to third parties.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR.

You may revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time with effect for the future pursuant to Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR. To do so, you simply need to notify us of your revocation or click the unsubscribe link contained in every newsletter.

Contact requests / contact options

If you contact us via contact form or email, the data you provide will be used to process your enquiry. Providing this data is necessary for processing and responding to your enquiry – without it we are unable to answer your enquiry, or can only do so to a limited extent.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.

Your data will be deleted once your enquiry has been conclusively answered and there are no statutory retention obligations preventing deletion, such as in the case of any subsequent contract processing.

Competitions

We offer you the opportunity to participate in competitions via our website. If you participate in one of our competitions, the data you enter when participating will be processed without your further consent, but naturally only for the purpose of conducting and handling the respective competition.

In the course of handling the competition, we pass on your data to the transport company commissioned with the delivery of goods or to a financial service provider, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery or payment of your prize. If your data is to be published in the event of a win, you will be informed of this in the consent declaration.

The legal basis for the transfer of data in this case is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.

You may revoke your consent to the processing of your data for participation in our competitions at any time with effect for the future pursuant to Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR. To do so, you simply need to notify us of your revocation.

We have regulated the joint responsibility in an agreement regarding the respective obligations within the meaning of the GDPR. This agreement, from which the mutual obligations arise, is available at the following link:

https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum

The legal basis for the processing of personal data carried out as a result and described below is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, communication, sales and promotion of our products and services.

The legal basis may also be the user's consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR given to the platform operator. The user may revoke such consent at any time for the future pursuant to Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR by notifying the platform operator.

When accessing our online presence on the Facebook platform, data of the user (e.g. personal information, IP address, etc.) is processed by Facebook Ireland Ltd. as the operator of the platform in the EU.

This user data serves to provide statistical information about the use of our company presence on Facebook. On the basis of these profiles, Facebook Ireland Ltd. is able, for example, to advertise to users both within and outside of Facebook based on their interests. In the case of Flash cookies, processing cannot be prevented via the browser settings, but only via the corresponding setting of the Flash player. If the user prevents or restricts the installation of cookies, this may result in not all functions of Facebook being fully available.

Further details on processing activities, how to prevent them and the deletion of data processed by Facebook can be found in Facebook's data policy:

https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/540977946302970

We have regulated the joint responsibility in an agreement regarding the respective obligations within the meaning of the GDPR. This agreement, from which the mutual obligations arise, is available at the following link:

The legal basis for the processing of personal data carried out as a result and described below is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, communication, sales and promotion of our products and services.

The legal basis may also be the user's consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR given to the platform operator. The user may revoke such consent at any time for the future pursuant to Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR by notifying the platform operator.

When accessing our online presence on the Instagram platform, data of the user (e.g. personal information, IP address, etc.) is processed by Facebook Ireland Ltd. as the operator of the platform in the EU.

This user data serves to provide statistical information about the use of our company presence on Instagram. It cannot be ruled out that processing by Facebook Ireland Ltd. may also take place via Facebook Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA.

Social media links via graphic or text link

We also promote presences on the social networks listed below on our website. The integration is done via a linked graphic of the respective network. The use of these linked graphics prevents an automatic connection to the respective server of the social network from being established when a website containing a social media promotion is accessed, in order to display a graphic of the respective network. Only by clicking on the corresponding graphic is the user redirected to the service of the respective social network.

After the user has been redirected, information about the user is collected by the respective network. It cannot be ruled out that the data collected in this way may be processed in the USA.

This initially includes data such as IP address, date, time and the page visited. If the user is logged into their user account on the respective network at the time, the network operator may be able to assign the collected information from the user's specific visit to their personal account. If the user interacts via a "share" button of the respective network, this information may be stored in the user's personal account and potentially published. If the user wishes to prevent the collected information from being directly assigned to their user account, they must log out before clicking on the graphic. It is also possible to configure the respective user account accordingly.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on our website. This is a web analysis service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to only as “Google”.

The Google Analytics service is used to analyse the usage behaviour of our website. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our website.

Usage and user-related information, such as IP address, location, time or frequency of visits to our website, is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, we use Google Analytics with the so-called anonymisation function. This function causes Google to truncate the IP address already within the EU or EEA.

The data collected in this way is in turn used by Google to provide us with an evaluation of visits to our website and the usage activities thereon. This data may also be used to provide further services related to the use of our website and the use of the internet.

Google states that it does not link your IP address with other data. In addition, Google provides further data protection information at

https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/partners

including information on options for preventing the use of your data.

In addition, Google offers a so-called deactivation add-on along with further information at

https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

This add-on can be installed with common internet browsers and gives you greater control over the data that Google collects when you visit our website. The add-on tells Google Analytics' JavaScript (ga.js) that information about your visit to our website should not be transmitted to Google Analytics. This does not, however, prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services. Whether and which other web analytics services we use can of course also be found in this privacy policy.

Google Maps

We use Google Maps on our website to display our location and to provide directions. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to only as “Google”.

To enable the display of certain fonts on our website, a connection to a Google server in the USA is established when our website is accessed.

When you access the Google Maps component integrated into our website, Google stores a cookie on your device via your internet browser. In order to display our location and provide directions, your user settings and data are processed. We cannot rule out the possibility that Google uses servers in the USA in this context.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in optimising the functionality of our website.

Through the connection established with Google in this way, Google can determine from which website your request was sent and to which IP address the directions are to be transmitted.

If you do not agree with this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies via the appropriate settings in your internet browser. Further details can be found above under the section “Cookies”.

Furthermore, the use of Google Maps and the information obtained via Google Maps is subject to the Google Terms of Service https://policies.google.com/terms?gl=GB&hl=en and the Google Maps Terms of Service https://www.google.com/intl/en_gb/help/terms_maps.html.

Google also provides further information at

https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated

https://policies.google.com/privacy

Google reCAPTCHA

We use Google reCAPTCHA on our website to verify and prevent interactions on our website by automated access, for example by so-called bots. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to only as “Google”.

Through this service, Google can determine from which website a request is sent and from which IP address you are using the so-called reCAPTCHA input box. In addition to your IP address, further information may be collected by Google that is necessary for the provision and guarantee of this service.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the security of our website and in the prevention of unwanted, automated access in the form of spam or similar.

Google provides further information on the general handling of your user data at

https://policies.google.com/privacy

Google Fonts

We use Google Fonts on our website to display external fonts. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to only as “Google”.

To enable the display of certain fonts on our website, a connection to a Google server in the USA is established when our website is accessed.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the optimisation and economic operation of our website.

Through the connection to Google established when our website is accessed, Google can determine from which website your request was sent and to which IP address the display of the font is to be transmitted.

Google provides further information, in particular regarding options for preventing the use of data, at

https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated

https://policies.google.com/privacy

FontAwesome

To display fonts and visual elements on our website, we use the external fonts of FontAwesome. FontAwesome is a service of

Fonticons Inc., 6 Porter Road, Apartment 3R, Cambridge, MA 02140, USA, hereinafter referred to only as “FontAwesome”.

When our website is accessed, a connection to the FontAwesome server in the USA is established in order to enable and update the display of fonts and visual elements.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the optimisation and economic operation of our website.

Through the connection to the FontAwesome server established when our website is accessed, FontAwesome can determine from which website your request was sent and to which IP address the display of the font is to be transmitted.

FontAwesome provides further information, in particular regarding options for preventing the use of data, at

https://fontawesome.com/privacy

OpenStreetMap

For directions, we use OpenStreetMap, a service of the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom, hereinafter referred to only as “OpenStreetMap”.

When you access one of our web pages into which the OpenStreetMap service is integrated, a cookie is stored on your device by OpenStreetMap via your internet browser. Your user settings and user data are thereby processed for the purpose of displaying the page and ensuring the functionality of the OpenStreetMap service. Through this processing, OpenStreetMap can recognise from which website your request was sent and to which IP address the display of the directions is to be transmitted.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the optimisation and economic operation of our website.

If you do not agree with this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies via the appropriate settings in your internet browser. Further details can be found above under the section “Cookies”.

OpenStreetMap provides further information on the collection and use of data as well as your rights and options for protecting your privacy at

https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy

YouTube

We use YouTube on our website. This is a video portal of YouTube LLC., 901 Cherry Ave., 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, hereinafter referred to only as “YouTube”.

YouTube is a subsidiary of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to only as “Google”.

We use YouTube in conjunction with the “Extended Data Protection Mode” function in order to be able to show you videos. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website. According to YouTube, the “Extended Data Protection Mode” function means that the data described in more detail below is only transmitted to the YouTube server if you actually start a video.

Without this “Extended Data Protection”, a connection to the YouTube server in the USA is established as soon as you access one of our web pages on which a YouTube video is embedded.

This connection is necessary in order to display the respective video on our website via your internet browser. In the course of this, YouTube will at minimum collect and process your IP address, the date and time, and the website you visited. A connection to Google's “DoubleClick” advertising network is also established.

If you are simultaneously logged into YouTube, YouTube will assign the connection information to your YouTube account. If you wish to prevent this, you must either log out of YouTube before visiting our website or make the appropriate settings in your YouTube user account.

For the purpose of functionality and analysis of usage behaviour, YouTube permanently stores cookies on your device via your internet browser. If you do not agree with this processing, you have the option of preventing the storage of cookies via a setting in your internet browser. Further information on this can be found above under “Cookies”.

Google provides further information on the collection and use of data as well as your related rights and protection options in the privacy policy available at

Vimeo

To display videos on our website, we use “Vimeo”. This is a service of Vimeo, LLC, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA, hereinafter referred to only as “Vimeo”.

Some processing of user data takes place on Vimeo servers in the USA.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website.

When you visit a page on our website that contains an embedded video, a connection to Vimeo's servers in the USA is established to display the video. For technical reasons, it is necessary for Vimeo to process your IP address. In addition, the date and time of your visit to our web pages are also recorded.

If you are simultaneously logged into Vimeo while visiting one of our web pages on which a Vimeo video is embedded, Vimeo may assign the information collected in this way to your personal user account there. If you wish to prevent this, you must either log out of Vimeo before visiting our website or configure your Vimeo user account accordingly.

For the purpose of functionality and usage analysis, Vimeo uses the web analytics service Google Analytics. Through Google Analytics, cookies are stored on your device via your internet browser and information about the use of our web pages on which a Vimeo video is embedded is sent to Google. It cannot be ruled out that Google processes this information in the USA.

If you do not agree with this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies via the appropriate settings in your internet browser. Further details can be found above under the section “Cookies”.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website and in the legitimate interest of Vimeo in statistically analysing user behaviour for optimisation and marketing purposes.

Please note that preventing or restricting the execution of JavaScript code may mean, for technical reasons, that not all content and functions of our website are available.

jQuery CDN

To optimise the loading speed, design and display of the content of our website on different devices, we use the service

jQuery CDN, a content delivery network (“CDN”), on our website. This is a service of the jQuery Foundation, hereinafter referred to only as “jQuery”. jQuery is distributed for the JS Foundation via the StackPath CDN.

In order to deliver the content of our website quickly, the service uses so-called JavaScript libraries. Corresponding files are loaded from the CDN server, unless they are already present in your browser cache from a visit to another website. When a connection is made to the CDN server, your IP address is recorded. It cannot be ruled out that a connection to a server outside the EU may be established.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in accelerating the loading times of our website and in its optimisation.

We use conversion tracking for the targeted promotion of our offering. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our website.

If you click on an advertisement placed by Google, the conversion tracking we use stores a cookie on your device. These so-called conversion cookies expire after 30 days and do not serve to personally identify you.

If the cookie is still valid and you visit a specific page on our website, both we and Google can evaluate that you have clicked on one of our advertisements placed with Google and that you were subsequently redirected to our website.

Using the information obtained in this way, Google compiles statistics for us about visits to our website. We also receive information about the number of users who have clicked on our advertisement(s) and the pages of our website subsequently accessed. Neither we nor third parties who also use Google AdWords are thereby able to identify you in this way.

You can also prevent or restrict the installation of cookies via the appropriate settings in your internet browser. You can also delete cookies that have already been stored at any time. The steps and measures required for this depend on the specific internet browser you are using. If you have any questions, please use the help function or documentation of your internet browser or contact its manufacturer or support.

Furthermore, Google also provides further information on this topic, and in particular on options for preventing the use of data, at

Microsoft Bing Ads

We use Bing Ads on our website for remarketing and conversion tracking. This is a service of Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA, hereinafter referred to only as “Microsoft”, which uses so-called Universal Event Tracking (UET).

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our website.

If you click on an advertisement placed by us on the “Bing” internet search engine, Microsoft stores a tracking cookie on your device via your internet browser. This tracking cookie expires after 180 days and does not serve to personally identify you. If you visit certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, both Microsoft and we can recognise that you clicked on an advertisement placed by us on Bing and were redirected from there to our website.

Microsoft uses the information collected via the tracking cookie to compile visit statistics for us. We thereby receive information about the number of accesses to the advertisements we have placed on Bing as well as the pages of our website subsequently accessed. We do not, however, receive any information that would allow us to personally identify you.

In addition, Microsoft may track your user behaviour across several of your devices via so-called cross-device tracking. This enables Microsoft to display personalised advertising to you across devices.

If you do not agree with this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies via the appropriate settings in your internet browser. Further details can be found above under the section “Cookies”.

If you have a Microsoft account, you can also change your personalised advertising settings at http://choice.microsoft.com/en-us/opt-out.

Furthermore, Microsoft provides further information on Bing Ads as well as on the collection and use of data and your rights and options for protecting your privacy at https://help.bingads.microsoft.com/#apex/3/en/53056/2 and at https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/privacystatement.
